    Default Irregular heartbeat during pregnancy!

Just wondering if anyone has experience with this. I have been getting severe episodes of erratic/skipped heartbeats at night time when I am relaxing. Sometimes my heart skips every 4th beat. I can feel it in my chest and it's quite unsettling. I have read that this is quit common during pregnancy. Any ideas on what I can do to stop it? And can it be harmful to my baby?? Would really appreciate hearing about anyone's experiences with this!!

I get this pregnant or not. It's a heart palpitation. Won't harm bub but if you have not suffered from this before definitely see your dr and get it checked out just in case x

Thanks ladies. Seeing my ob on Tuesday so will speak to her then. It's happening every day - starting late afternoon. Really stressing me out which I guess makes it so much worse. Vicious cycle. It's a horrible feeling.

Definately a common thing. I've had it on and off all pregnancy. Still it's worth mentioning to your care provider to be safe.

It's normal. It's scary but it's normal. Try magnesium pills. They work like magic

...agree magnesium is also good for leg cramps, spasms and constipation. Get a broad spectrum one.

Ive suffered from this really badly. Its an absolutely horrible feeling. I miss every fourth beat constantly and go into whats called "SVT" about twice a day where my heart rate reaches around 200bpm temporarily. Try holding your breath and bearing down (like you're pushing out a baby or a poo!) or grab a syringe from your doctor and blow into it really hard like you're trying to pop the plunger out. Helps me every time.

    Good luck
