    Hi Ladies

Thought I might jump in here and see if anyone is still around.
My partner has just taken a FIFO job doing 3 on 1 off. We are only in our first week of the first stint and I am hating it already. I have a 3 year old and am 23 weeks pregnant.
When he took this job it meant i had to give up my job as a restaurant manager as i now need to be at home at night time. So i have gone from being at work up to 60 hours a week and only home 2 nights a week to being home full time so a mega adjustment for me.
I love being with my son more and not being as tired as i was but i am finding it difficult not having my partner here, very little communication with him and feeling like my life is spent passing time waiting for him to come home.

It be nice to chat with some people who know some of what im dealing with as none of my friends get it at all.

    Hi Ladies,

I currently do FIFO work with my husband 4 weeks on and 1 week off, so can give you an idea what it is like on site staying in camps etc if you have any questions....

I am 15 weeks pregnant now and am going to work as long as I can but think realistically this will only be for another 10 weeks. I also have Type 1 Diabetes and protein in my kidneys so my doctor thinks I will almost definitely develop pre-eclampsia (sorry spelling!!) I'm so so scared about being home with a newborn by myself and even being home pregnant by myself!

It is nice to know that there are others experiencing the same thing....

Nice to meet you all!! Well virtually anyhow!
