Just adding on what I last said; thank God for BubHub. Founders of Bubhub and websites alike that join communities in hardships deserve an award!

Need to have a little whinge so first, here's my summed up version of events, which you may or may not have read before.... Don't feel obligated to read, I'm just having a rant.

My Mum has been very supportive about our trouble ttc. She's known we've been trying since we came back from honeymoon late May 2011. When I started to worry after trying for only about 4 months, she told me it was normal. After 6 months she still said not to worry too much and suggested it was stress. At 9 months she supported us in telling our Dr who said 9 months was still pretty normal but that he could get tests done if we wished. Which we did. My results came back with PCOS and he also mention another 'thing' (scar or something?) that has never been talked about since. My Hubby's test results didn't come back too good, but he said they wern't too bad either??? At 12 months (keeping in mind some of my cycles have been up to 50 days) we saw the Gyno who confirmed I had PCOS and that although DH sperm was not in excellent condition it was still reasonably ok. She put me on 50mg clomid but the results showed no ovulation. The next cycle I went up to 100mg but again no ovulation. So Gyno suggested this cycle (we're now at 15months) that I try 150. I asked if there was a more agressive way of getting to the matter and she said at this stage (finaly) she'd be happy to refer me to the f/s. F/S is now next Thursday (atlast) and we are realy hoping he can offer us something that's going to work.

Now for my whinge; As wonderful and supportive as my Mother is, a few nights ago I found out that both her and my sister had all of there children (Mum 3, my sister 2) within 2 months of trying!!!! She wasn't trying to upset me but it did. Is that silly? Why me then? I thought. And it got me thinking, I don't know anyway (and clearly you are out there with me) who is having or has had trouble having children. Hence, my appreciation to Bubhub.

Also, whilst my parents know we've been trying and we're having trouble my in laws don't. At first, I didn't want them to know. I'm still not sure I do. My hubby says it's becasue he wants it to be a suprise for them, but the truth is, I'm sure that he is just as concerned about what they are going to think and say as I am. Also, when talking to my Mum once my Mother in law said "I hope they don't start trying for a baby until Jess has finished uni" (which isn't for another 2 years). Although I know in my heart they would make fantastic grandparents and truly would be very happy for us if it did happen. It's just that, my in laws are considerably more wealthy than mine, and I wondered if they knew what we were going throgh if they might offer a hand with some of the medical bills you know? And of course, and I should have said this first, support for my husband? But my dh is much too proud to ever ask, so alas we continue to live in secret and I feel I'm becoming bitter. When my brother in law broke his leg the other week - doing some silly trick on the bike - and everyone was worried and concerned about him all I could think was 'well, you shouldn't have been doing stupid tricks, some of us are suffering here and we didn't do anything to deserve it!".

    And that's my story. Sorry.

Nes you can always rant to us we are here! Im with you thank god for these forums!Well let me know how it goes next week. So what was the outcome to start 150mg or wait till the fs appt next week?

Ok now for my rant... Yes im frustrated with my normal gp because i went there twice when my cycle was over 55 days and she just said it was normal coming off the pill etc etc. It was one of my friends that said if you have a gut feeling that something is wrong go back. So after having a cyle of 75 days + she finally sent me off to have transv ultra which comfirmed pcos. Im annoyed because of my cycles been so long she should have sent me to get tests done at the start i feel like i have wasted 3 or 4 months of valuable time.

In terms of the inlaws we havnt told them about our troubles either. My parents are separated and i have told my mum about it but although im extremely close with my dad havnt told him either. I dont like his gf and couldnt stand what she might say.

My mum fell pregnant within 4 months, i ask the same question why me????? Everyone else around me seems to get pregas so easy! except i do work with a lady who was had 6 attempts at ivf with no luck yet.. i cry everytime she talks to me about her journey.

Do you have private health? prob wouldnt cover much $$ anyway.
thinking of you i know how you feel matey x

    Hey,

Thanks for sharing. Yes docs don't seem to get the time thing right? Although I asked my doc weather I should start my meds this cycle or wait to see the F/S and he said I should wait coz if the F/S wants to start on different meds or a different strategy I might need to have all the drugs out of my system to start the new ones. In otherwords I'd have to wait another cycle before I could start. So I guess he now get's the whole time thing at least.

At least we both have our Mum's to talkt o right? We do have private health but we've only been in it for about 6 months and we need to be in it for 6months before it will cover pregnancy related things and we don't want to wait that long - we've waited long enough!

    Thanks again.

Ok so, don't point your finger at me but....

I'm wondernig if you ladies think it's ok for me to have a drink or two tonight? Since starting ttc journey I have hardly had any at all. I'd say I've had none at all in the last month. Just now, as you know I am on cd 39, I'm not pregnant and no sign of my period showing thus far. I am waiting to see the f/s next Thursday before I persue any further drugs, so not on any meds at the moment.

I'm trying to loose weight also and I know alcohol is no good for that, but would be nice to be able to have just a couple. What do you think? Discuss....

Default 1st Round of Clomid and did not ovulate.

    Of course Nessie!!! Completely fine.

I'm in the TWW and had a glass last night. I can't let this journey completely rule my life.

Plenty of people get preggo accidentally - no vitamins, drinking, smoking, eating Brie! You are fine to have a couple. Enjoy!!!

It's a miracle, my period came all on it's own today - cd 40 and should be nearing the end of it when I see my f/s on Thursday.
