I hope the little one is okay. I also hope the parents go to jail or some heavy fine is put upon them. There's no excuse. The driver should be charged with drink driving and driving a vehicle with an unrestrained baby in the passenger seat and the passenger should also be charged for holding the baby in the passenger seat!!

The poor baby. I hope she pulls through.
As for the 'parents' of the child, what idiots. I hope the child is placed with people who arent completely stupid.
There is no excuse for what they chose do.

Seeing how many people were in that car, I am assuming that it wasn't the parents/mothers own car. Well, I hope not. I'd hope she would have a carseat in her car that would prevent having more than 1 adult in the backseat.
For those who got seriously injured, I wonder if they were wearing a seatbelt or not.

I am also wondering that if the mother pulls through, whether or not she will get charge for negligence. I think the driver should be charged for negligent driving as he is in control of the car and can tell people to either wear a seatbelt and use a child restraint, or the car is not going anywhere.

'Contrary to earlier reports that the baby was on the mother's lap, police now believe the little girl was strapped in a baby capsule when the crash happened at about 6pm on Sunday night'

The driver who was drinking was not the same driver with the baby in the car.

That makes it even worse. I thought capsules were there to prevent serious injuries Was it not anchored properly? Was she not clicked in tight enough?
