Default Anyone not receiving income supplements?

By this Im referring to the new household assistance payments, etc.

I am struggling. We as a couple are struggling. Very worried about carbon taxes, rise in daycare fees etc. I don't know what to do

Freaking. Out. Don't know how we are going to cope. We are better off with me working full time, even with daycare fees. I feel like im not doing the right thing by DS although I know I have no choice.
I was looking at some of the figures that people are getting supplemented and it would help.. A lot

I suspect we won't get anything. Not like we are rolling in cash, but based on our income estimate we get no fortnightly government payments as it is.

I am shiz scared to see my next power bill.

We get nothing and apparently will be $1000 a year worse off. I thought it was supposed to be big polluters who paid?

Oh.. Don't forget.. Because we work, we're "rich"!! The only thing we get is CCR which everyone gets don't they? Don't get me wrong, im grateful for that, it helps a lot.. I know lower income earners struggle too.. I just wish the govt. would presume we are all going to cope.

We are the same as you. No supplements at all. Not sure where this extra is "meant" to come from. My wage goes up at the inflation level each year I believe but that won't cover the rise in electricity. Or any other services that increase.

I'm not up to speed with it all but apparently there will be some tax cuts. Are we also getting wage rises as per CPI? I have heard that it won't be enough to cover the electricity either. Sigh. I worry about our future. All we can do is the very best we can for our children and sacrifice everything we can for them.

This. Sucks. .. Especially private industry. I'm in public service and despite the general perception, not all of us employed by govt sit on our butts and do nothing. I work hard for my money.
I have gained all the seniority that I can for now so no increments etc.. The only thing I can do is look for a higher paying job, and where I work, that means more stress and probably more hours. Te only raise I'll get otherwise is through CPI.

The gov. have completely under estimated how much the carbon tax is going to affect us all.
To be honest I am scared about my next power bill, the cost of fuel, cost of food etc. We struggle enough as it is with so many expences and now everything is going up I dont know what we are going to do.
All I know is with the power prices going up almost 18% and gas 17% its going to be a cold winter and a hot summer. I wont be able to run any heating or cooling.
