    Default Bedding for newborn baby! HELP!

    Hi ladies,
    my partner and I are in the process of starting up our nursery and what bedding we need for the cot. We are starting off with a bassinet as I want baby in the room with me for first few months before moving him to a cot. I have read up on the SIDS website which says how to place him etc and NO cot bumpers (which I thought would have been a safe option). I just want to know how others sleep their babies from new born and what blankets etc they put them in. Should I have him in a wrap and then a sheet or a cotton blanket as well. Also in a bassinet is it the same? and has anyone used the infant sleeping bags from new born and what did you think? thank you

    Wrap baby in muslin cloth. ATM I use 3 blankets on top of that but it's cold- will use less in summer. Same in cot as in basinette. I don't use infant sleeping bags but I believe a lot of people like them- I find it pretty easy to wrap baby so she settles without them though.

    I agree wraps are fantastic helps a baby to settle aswell

    Yeah we wrapped DS for a month or so then got frustrated with the houdini escaping and found 'wrap me ups'. This time I have the 'wrap me ups' already but will start wrapping with muslin wraps first and cover with a blanket or 2 depending on how cold it is. Bub #2 will also be in a bassinet in our room, but I wrap and cover bubs the same whether they be in the bassinet or the cot.
