    Default Nose blowing?

What age did your LO learn to blow their nose? And how did you teach them?

My 3yr old can't, but my 16mth old can blow her nose perfectly.

I think somewhere around 16 months or thereabouts. We taught her by holding the tissue up (when she had a cold) and saying 'blow' while demonstrating it.

I can't remember when we starting teaching our boys. When they first had a cold I guess. It was just habit to hold the tissue on there nose and say blow. We demonstrated blowing out the mouth and nose. They are still getting the hang of hold one nostril down and blowing out one side.

I found telling my kids to 'push your sniff out' was the best way of getting them to visualize what I wanted them to do

Dd is 23 mths and learnt to blow her nose around the start of the year, she just saw us doing it and copied! She likes to copy everything we do. It does make things easier though.
