Mums with newborns, south west or west Sydney

Hi

I have just become a mum a little over 2 weeks ago, and I am keen to make friends with other new mums who are going through the same as me (late nights, paranoia about all the cooties out there that baby might catch etc

). I'm in the Bankstown area but I would be happy to travel to areas outside of Southwest Sydney, particularly the West

.

Most of my friends don't have kids yet or plan to remain childless, so it would be good to have some mum friends for coffees, catch-ups and outings. Right now I love taking my little spawn for long walks in the pram and it would be nice to have some company. I'm 31 but I have friends from all age groups and I'm happy to be friends with people with very different interests to mine as I find it makes things more interesting, what I'm looking for mainly are just nice people I can be relaxed with. I have a fairly warped sense of humour which most people seem to enjoy

Have you found a playgroup yet? I too am looking for new friends with bubs. My little one is 7 weeks old now and I'm itching to get him out of the house. I'm in the Liverpool area.

I'm with a mothers group in Bankstown and was invited to a group on FB (they've had a few meetups but I haven't been a member long) and the 2 meetups so far have been at times I couldn't make, but I look forward to getting to one! I've also met a couple of people off bubhub. Would be happy to meet up some time if you would like

i've just signed up to bubhub and saw your post from a while ago... i'm in holsworthy with a bub now 6 months old. i meet up with a few mums in my area but always looking for new friends too, how have you gone with the FB group?

I've made a couple of friends (not so much through fb but through one who is in the fb group who I had already met off bh) but like you, always up for meeting new people in our lovely sw Sydney hood

I am expecting my first baby on the 8th March and am looking for other mums/mums-to-be in the area to meet up with for coffee, walks, exercise etc. I live in Wattle Grove and am 27 years old.

Just thought I'd put it out there

I am due with bubs number 1 on 16th May. Would love to find a mother's group in my area. I'm in West Hoxton (Liverpool)

Congrats! Well I only have 6 days to go now so I will probably wait until after bubs is born then look at doing maybe a regular weekly catch up, I'll keep you posted
