    Default Stupid Question

What is the best way to dispose of vegetable oil from my deep fryer?

I want to put clean oil in but I'm not sure how I should get rid of the old oil.

    Am I missing something obvious?

Um... I think it's to pour it into an old glass jar then chuck it in the bin?

Or tip it into a container of sand/kitty litter/any other absorbent material and then chuck that in the bin :-)

wash out & keep icecream containers / chinese containers just for this purpose? Tip the oil in & toss it out on bin day.

When I bough my Deep fryer I used 4L to fill it as advised.. I took the 2 x2L bottles and popped them in the evil cupboard of unused gimmicks. When I needed to empty my deep fryer I poured the oil into the original bottles and popped it in the bin. I then popped the Deep fryer into the evil cupboard of unused things.
