At The Early Learning Project UNSW, we study how learning, memory and emotional processing develops during infancy and early childhood.

Our studies use behavioural methods, eye tracking, measures of brain activity and facial muscle movement, to understand the mechanisms that underlie cognitive and emotional development.

Questions we are trying to answer include:
  • How does learning and memory change across infancy?
  • How do infants begin to understand what others are thinking and feeling?
