Default Stitch like pain? 35weeks preg

    Hi

    First pregnancy, so very nervous.
I've been having strong stitch like pain in the lower right side of my abdominal. It comes and goes, I've ja it for the last 2 days.

What could it be ? Braxton hicks ? Not sure what anything is ment to feel like. I feel very overwhelmed right now

    Thanks in advance

Hi, it could be a couple of things. Is your uterus contracting, getting hard and
Like a ball for a few seconds and then it lets go? This is BH

A stich down their could be a number of things and i am sure the other ladies will have more to add. It could be; a wind stuck, constipation, baby pressing down on a nerve or an over stretched muscle.

I get them too and sometimes it feels like i cant move it hurts so much.

I got that towards the end of my first pregnancy.

Happened if I was walking for a while, but not all the time so was unpredictable and irritating.

Happened once in a shop and it was so bad I was crying. The ladies thought I was in labour!

From memory my midwife said it was normal. It went away after I delivered.

ETA: Yes, it may be bub sitting on a nerve as Zanne has suggested that sounds familiar I couldn't remember what my midwife had said.

Could be round ligament pain? I got a stitch like feeling on the lower right of my belly from around 25 weeks when I'd do my morning walk. I asked my dr about it and he said it was just round ligament pain associated with my uterus growing and stretching. For me braxton hicks were just my whole belly going really hard for a minute, then relaxing again - they weren't painful.

    Thanks for your responses

My belly does get very tight when the stitch comes, it last a bit then goes.

Maybe the BH is agrivating something? If you are worried, definately have it checked

Sounds like round ligament pain to me. I had this during both pregnancies and it feels like a bad stitch in the same place.
