    Default dental work while pregnant

I have a pretty big filling done last week and today i have discovered i am pregnant - this was a shock and unexpected. I am worried now about the dental work, is it okay that i had a filling? It was just the injections in the mouth but still awake.

    Congratulations!
but as far as I'm aware, the only issue with dental work os getting X-rays. I've had fillings while pregnant no problems. Hopefully someone can chime in and reassure you more

i think you should be fine, it's major dental work like getting a tooth removed that they won't do until the 2nd trimester. I have to get a tooth removed and my dentist is waiting until I'm 14 weeks.

I worked at a dentist, and can say yes it's ok to have dental work done, just no x rays.

I had a filling done at around 33 weeks with this pregnancy - absolutely nothing to worry about
