Hi crafty - we had a little resistance but made a point that we were able to put two back with Melbourne and that we fully understood the consequences and risks associated with multiples xx

SL - Good luck today! Keep us posted! We only had 1 put in, so I don't think twins are likely, but people just keep teasing me about it - which means I keep dreaming about it! Oh, and I've been getting a lot of AF type feelings/ cramps - so I hope that's normal! I didn't have it with DD, so maybe it is IVF specific.

Crafty - Good luck with your BT today! Keep us posted! I wish I'd had a 3rd BT, but my FS only wanted the two. It would be good to know how things are tracking.

Sel - That's funny about your cat! Mine seems the same as ever... intent on walking over my head in the middle of the night, and so forth. When I was pregnant with DD we joked that she'd be born with little paw shaped imprints, from where he walked over my belly at night.

Adden - Yes, I think 'morning' sickness is a bit of a misnomer!

kmvw - Congratulations! My FS is not very keen to do extra BTs either. Funny how they all have their own processes. Perhaps seeing the GP would help? Or would it maybe stress you more?

AFM - I'm just scared now. I seem to have been feeling a bit better on the nausea front, which worries me, although I'm still tired/ exhausted all the time. Lots of crampy AF feelings yesterday. I'm just so scared of the scan tomorrow and there being something wrong. It all seems too good to be true, and I keep thinking that life just can't suddenly get better. I know it's stupid. We've just been in this 'infertility' black hole for so long, and I can't accept that it could be over. Yes, I do suck.

Totally normal to be thinking that it's too good to be true especially after all we've been through...but these things happen right? People have babies with IVF all the time so I know it can happen and IS happening for all of us in here xxx

I know you're right. Half of my playgroup is full of IVF babies!!

When I started fertility treatment I saw one of the QFG counsellors about it. She described it as being like stumbling through a dark forest, where you hope the path you're taking will lead you out into the light, but at the moment (at the start of the treatment) there are branches to trip you and scratch you, and it's a scary place. She said that while you're in that forest it's normal to be angry, upset, afraid, etc. as you're still searching for a way out.

Well, now I feel as if I've suddenly found myself on the edge of the forest, and in the sunlight, and it feels too good to be true! I keep thinking I'll wake up and be back in the darkness again.

I know that probably sounds melodramatic and a bit stupid, but we've found this fertility journey to be a long and painful one, and I think it will take a few scans for me to really believe it! Thank you for listening

And speaking of scans, isn't yours today SL? What time???

I totally understand and it feels like that for us too, i'm making an effort to be so positive and already googling baby stuff etc but it is very surreal. Yes we have out first scan at 11.45 - not long to go!! I think I will feel slightly better afterwards god willing that we will know its all viable but we are going to ask for referrals to go back weekly until we're past the first trimester - I don't think I could handle going longer than that with our precious experience of miscarriage. It is such a long and hard journey whoever would have thought that I would be on it but there are so many women and I guess every single one of them, of us, has a mindset a bit like well something's bound to go wrong! I am putting all my trust in the man upstairs and keeping positive - will let you know how I go today soon - eeeeeeeeek!!!!x

Good luck today SL and tomorrow GirlX and you are both describing exactly how I feel! Thanks for doing that it makes me feel better.
I guess Im gun shy after all of the bad news we've had all along the way and because I know my hcg levels are low and I know what that can mean.

And I do the freak thing too when the signs go away. I dont think Ive ever checked my boobs so much in my life, as that is the most stark sign I have. Still feeling mildly nauseous on and off. Had a couple of cramp type pains this morning, but that is all for days. And I am still doing the whole checking the toilet paper thing. Not that I feel much like AF is coming, but just because Im a little bit crazy!

I do really like that forrest analogy!
I have 6 sleeps to go now and like with many bits of this journey I would love it to come sooner, but only if we hear the right answer!

Hang in there girls and I'll be logging on lots to see how its all going!

    xx

Thanks, both of you. Sounds like we're all in the same boat here! Fingers crossed we can all be celebrating before long, once we have some scans and feel more positive!!

SL - I'm so excited for you!!! I'll be checking back to see how you go!

Sel - Hope you can think of lots of things to keep you distracted so that the next few days fly by!
