Default Does food make you sleepy?

I'm curious to know if anyone else gets really sleepy during/after eating food?

About 6 -12 months ago I noticed that I get a major case of sleepy eyes while eating food. It started with hot or spicy food, but now it can be anything, even a weetbix. A couple of times this has happened right before I've eaten as well (like with a plate in front of me).

Does this happen to anyone else? Can anyone explain what is happening here?

Food had made me sleepy for years. Certain foods make me sleepy but I've never stopped to pay attention to which foods do this to me.
My mum pays attention to this and she has noticed that fatty foods and meat make her sleepy.
    I wonder why..

Only if it's something I'm intolerant too. Anything with sulfites or preservative 220 makes me feel crappy and tired.

Hrmmmm... I can't say I've noticed that. It's normally when I finish a meal. Especially Thai food.. Makes me really sleepy!

Before I was diagnosed with diabetes I would feel sleepy while/after eating because my blood sugar was too high.
