Default How long did ur insurance company take....

.....to repair ur car after an accident? Im using a repairer approved by my insurance company (cgu) and there is damage to the bumper, bonnet and right side front panel. Any ideas?

took me about 1-2 week when i crashed my car.

At the moment I'm waiting to hear back from my insurance company after it caught fire
They're not expecting to have it assessed until a week after the lodgement date

My insurance authorised repairs within a week but the smashies was closing over Christmas so ended up waiting about 6 weeks. Was rear ended so fair bit of damage

2 years ago our car got broken into, the drivers panel was also damaged happened on a Friday, we took the car to the assessing centre the next day, they had it towed to the repairer once it was assessed (it got towed there on the monday) and the repairer had it about a week...we paid our excess directly to the repairer when we picked it up and it was all done!! Sooo much easier than what I thought it would be!!

This was thru CGU, in Sydney. We got a cheque for the damaged items about a week after I'd provided receipts/quotes for the items.

Not as much damage but having rear bumper replaced after somebody drove into the back of me took about a week. Hope you all get back on the road soon!

I took my car in for a quote last Tuesday and am still waiting for the assessors to approve repairs.

My insurance company is closing down though, so that might have something to do with it

Mine took 2 months. The work was terrible and had to go back in another 2 times. The last time we were still far from happy so ended up selling the car. It was only 3 weeks old when we got rear ended it to begin with.
