Default LNP ban altruistic surrogacy for....

    Same sex couples
    Single people
And de-facto couples that have been together less than two years.

What is your opinion on this?

Personally I'm disgusted in our government.

Great way to set Queensland back a couple of decades.

Why do some people think it's okay to dictate another person's sexuality?

I don't see how this dictates another's sexuality.
There's a ban on surrogacy for a section of the community based on societal values.

    Personally, I agree with it.

They havent done it, but are proposing it.

Basically the Queensland government is saying that only married couples should have children. The LNP and the Christian cronies are on the warpath for everything allegedly right, decent and Christian at the moment.

They also recently amended the Civil Partnerships Act (which prevously allowed same or opposite sex couples) to register a relationship, either through lodging paperwork or having a ceremony. They took away the official ceremony option as apparently it was "too much like marriage". Now I read they are proposing changing the name to a registered relationship, not a civil partnership, to appease the decent citizens of Queensland some more.

What is galling is that apparently Queensland is broke, but the government has time and money to spend taking away the rights of same sex couples.

What a great time to live in Queensland.

Dark times ahead for all the liberal-run states, and the country once they win federally!
