People who have completed their families tell me you just know when you're done. I have a friend who got her tubes tied at the age if 25 after having 2 because she just knew, and another who after her third fell pregnant and terminated (despite being dead against abortion) because she was just so sure she was done at three. After our third I knew I wasn't done but my husband said no more so I just left it to fate/God, was very clear I wasn't on any birth control (never taken it anyway) and that he needed to be careful if he seriously didn't want more. Well, im now pregnant with twins lol! I'm hoping newborn twins does it for me coz I still feel sad at the thought this will be my last pregnancy . Regardless though, my husband will get the snip after they're born so it'll be too bad if I still want more.

I honestly didn't find the jump between 2-3 that big, finance or coping-wise.

I'm opposite to you. I'm very happy with 2 but DH would love a 3rd.
The original question of knowing when your " done" is different for everyone.
I can't visualize a 3rd child and have no inklings to go again. I had lovely pregnancies and straight forward births so that's not it. I just am blissfully happy with the 2 I have.
There's no pressure from DH to have another but we have had " discussions" about it.

I like others have heard that you just know. We currently have 4, but i cannot say that we are done. Although the lady that stoppped me in pixie photo told me that"i have two boys and two girls, so now i can stop over populating the world" to which i told her to get a better sales pitch, and , thanks but NO i don't want your pictures.

I am done with one!!! I love him to bits and he is an angel boy, though I just know. I am well over people hearing tat and saying 'oh you will change your mind' no... I won't. I do think you just know. If you are questioning if you want another one, I think that you may not be done?!?

We have 4 children... We knew we wanted 3, and the 4th kind of just happened..... We are not having any more children( hubby has had snip), but the decision was made more for financial reasons, I love babies and could definitely have another, so I don't feel entirely "done". However I was unsure whether I could give each child the attention they need if we were to have more, and our family may have struggled financially as it would be a long time before I could go back to work. I'm relatively happy with our decision, not many people have more than 3 children, but i still occasionally feel sad that there will be no more babies for me.

I know I'm not done because every single day I feel two more little people waiting to join our family. Their energy is as tangible as my boys who are here with me. It goes beyond logic and preference, I just know good luck with your decision
