    gave one to ds about 18 months while in cot. He mainly played around with it and never really slept on it until a little after he went into a big bed about 26 months. In the cot I used a small pillow. I think as long as they know to put their head on it and they can move them easily, then it is safe enough.

    I gave DS1 a pillow around 2 years of age and DS2 around 20months but he rarely uses it. I was just looking at getting a pillow pet for my niece and noticed it said for 3+
