Default Anyone else having a GTT super early? Like at 11wks?

I had a GTT with DD at 18wks, just due to my weight.. they are making me have it this time at 11wks. My GTT in November (10 months after birth) was perfect!!

I had diet controlled GD with DD - was perfect never got above 6!

    Hi Peacock Pixie,

    Congrats on being pregnant.

I was borderline GD with DS 2 and had to modify diet in the last 12 weeks. He was born 9lb 15oz at 36 weeks. When I fell pregnant with this bub my endocrinologist / ob got me to do the GTT at 10-11 weeks due to my age (I am 40) and the size of my DS2. I was well within normal for this test and then had to have my second GTT at 26 weeks which this time around I passed with flying colours.

There may be various reasons that they have asked you to do it early - my guess may be that it has something to do with you being diet controlled GD with DD.

Try not to worry about it at least they are watching out for you and bub.

Hope all goes well for you.
