I think it may have just been a coincidence, but the two evenings before DD was born I rubbed clary sage oil into my tummy (with a carrier oil). She was born at 41 weeks and I had been dilating since about 39 weeks (was 2cm at 39 weeks), so like I said, I have a feeling she was ready to come anyway and I don't necessarily think the oil was the reason.

From 38 weeks i walked for around 40 mins every day, couldn't handle any more than that lol i also was bending/moving around a lot trying to get the house in order before bub came. DH & i were also DTD every few days & lots of the big 'O' (sorry TMI)

I wasn't comfortable trying anything else (nipple stimulation, castor oil etc) but something must have worked because i was induced when i was a week overdue & was already 4cm dilated before the induction

I was also taking rasberry leaf tea tablets from 34 weeks which is supposed to shorten the second stage of labor & strengthen the uterus/contractions, not sure if it's coincidence but my second stage of labor was only 2hrs

Clary sage oil for me. Hind waters broke that night (within 3 hrs) went into established labour the next day - about 12 hrs later. Its expensive and smells awful! She arrived 8 days early.

I agree with the RLT! My labour was 3 hrs 15 mins and pushing stage 45 mins.
