I prefer marmite, but it's been out of stock for a few months as they were moving the factory (i went to the point of emailing sanitarium because Vegemite doesn't cut it and I'm too scared to try the others, but the earliest it will be available is late July so I've had to settle)

DF loves Vegemite and has a sickening amount spread on his toast, and I have been banned from giving DS anything but Vegemite as DF doesn't want him to be a "marmite eating weirdo"

We're passionate about our spreads at my house, lol.

I'm not Australian born but my hubby is, so when DD1 was starting to eat solids I was told by the MIL that I need to give her some vegemite otherwise I would be un-australian.

When the in-laws visit DD1 is given vegemite on toast every day. whereas she usually has it 1-2 a week (along with other spreads). they visited us last week and bought a BIG jar... just in case we should run out before they visit again.

I like vegemite and I dont mind giving DD1 some... but its funny how they really want to make sure that their grandkids like it.

My 17 month old has loved 'baby vegemite' since he tried it around 10 months. He only has it once or twice a week due to the sodium content.
