I was thinking of that yesterday hehe

Most People say my name first.

I have been thinking about how I say first and in our mutual friends I find one name usually sounds better first. ifykwim

I think these days most people would use the name of the person they were most familiar with first.

There would however be two notable exceptions.

#1 Traditionalists might be inclined to follow the patriarchal convention of the mans name first then the womans name.

#2 If it was someone from a group that would typically involve one partner rather than the other, then I would expect the name of that partner to be used first - even if you both joined the group as a couple. For example, a playgroup expects mothers so the womans name would be more likely to be mentioned first. Conversely a medieval reenactment group is more patriarchal and thus the mans name would be more likely mentioned first.

#3 If you meet people as a couple, and are introduced as <one> and <other>, they would probably remember that convention and continue with it.

99% of people say DP's name first. I think it sounds better that way, but not sure if that's because it's what I've gotten used to.

We tend to be DH then me but it follows the reverse alphabetical order theory that we seem to follow for almost every couple we know.

Was just talking about this yesterday most people say dh first then me, I think it sounds better because the words flow easier that way iykwim. I think I normally say others either by the way they've been introduced to me or by who I've known longest

I always assumed people went with the name with less syllables first as that's what's always happened to me lol.
