I watched The Voice and think Karise has a great voice but really dislike the name and think being so close to the show people will think you named your baby after her!

Oh goodo.. Im planning on naming this bubs Carys (pr. KAHR-ys, like paris but with K sound at front) ... I thought 'Karise' may have been a bastardisation of that, id be devastated! I dont even watch tv at all, id hate for people to think this baby was named after a trashy reality show star!

Back on topic, i dont hate the name, but it looks made up to me, which puts me off. I actually prefer Clarice(sp?), despite the silence of the lambs association

I love the name, it is a real classic, but prefer the spelling 'Carise'- you could also use Cary for short. Lovely.
