    Default Electricity providers

I am moving and need to choose an electricity provider. I've found this website that compares different companies, but some of them I've never heard of. Apparently even Dodo has an electricity service! I just don't know if they're all trustworthy, and would it be safer to go with a big name company, even though they are alot dearer.

    Thoughts?
What company are you with and are you happy with them?
Have you ever thought of shopping around?
Last time I lived out on my own, I thought Energy Australia was the ONLY company out there LOL, so automatically went with them.

Dodo seems to be advertising heavily at the moment, but after the bad customer experience reports I've heard about Dodo Internet and Dodo Mobile, I wont go near them.

My research reveals Click Energy as the cheapest option (and they dont require a contract). I keep meaning to change to them, but haven't got around to it yet. I believe they offer a 9% discount if paying on time, or an 11% discount if paying in advance - though I might be wrong.

    Hi Jemma,
I just signed up to AGL. I went on to a comparison site (switchwise) and it came up with an estimation of costs through different companies and plans. One of the AGL plans was one of the cheapest, and I've been with AGL before and they were fine. This plan has a $100 credit when you sign up online and 10% discount on your bills, and no connection fee. I also get my low income rebate with them, not sure if they all do or not. It is a 3 year contract though but you can move address with it.

All done. Yay tomorrow I will have electricity in my new place!
