Default Anyone used Dr Michael Holland's services at moruya?

Hi, I am 17 weeks pregnant and in the process of moving from Canberra to Catalina. As the maternity section of Batemans Bay hospital has closed down I was wondering if anyone has given birth at moruya hospital or used Dr Michael Holland (also based in moruya) as their OB. Any experiences or other recommendations/information would be appreciated.

    Default Dr Holland

Hi just wanted to let you know I have birthed at Moruya twice with Dr Holland and he is absolutely fantastic! The midwives are also very good & full of info. I am actually 30 weeks pregnant now and after relocating to an area where the OB is a joke I have just made the decision to travel to Moruya(have family at coast) and birth there again! You won't be forced into anything and you will have a relaxed birth experience.

    Good luck

    Hey TammiB,
Thanks for your reply. I met the midwives at moruya and agree they are wonderful but unfortunately I won't be able to have my baby at moruya or be under the care of Dr. Holland.
At 19 weeks they discovered I have placenta previa grade 4 and placenta accreta as well
So I now under Prof. Ellwood in Canberra and will give birth via c- section at TCH.
Hope all runs smoothly with the rest of your pregnancy and i bet your glad you made the decision to come back to moruya to have your LO if you weren't happy with your OB.
