    Default Post partum

After you had your child and started menstruating again were your periods regular?
I ask because since my son was born 20 weeks ago I have had 2 regular periods but am now over a week late after having unprotected sex a few weeks ago.
I took 2 pregnancy tests last week - both negative.
Could my breastfeeding hormones be messing me around?

yes - it took me a while for my cycle to get back to normal. I can't remember exactly how long, but was certainly a few months.

For me, it was 8 months to get a period back, and they never got regular, finally managed to get pregnant at 14 months.

Are you trying to get pregnant?

Thanks, guess I'll just have to get on top of some decent contraceptive!
