    Default Attn Queenslanders.

Where should we move to? Used to the city so want a place with cosmopolitan feel, cafe scene etc (not that we ever go out now but one day when the kids are older ha ha). Sane sex family and don't want to be "the only gays in the village", Am a nurse and need work so big hospital etc, don't wanna get eaten by a croc
Oh and we don't wanna "do" winter ever again!
Am thinking Cairns Townsville or Mackay???

    I am in cairns :-)

    We have crocs... Lol.
Big hospital with talks of a second one being built in the future.

Most of the suburbs along the beaches have a little cafe scene.
(Clifton beach, trinity beach, Yorkeys knob, etc)

Coldest night so far this winter has been 14. So not to bad, I don't do winter either. Lol.

Why? What's wrong with Mackay? Or right about Townsville?

[QUOTE=lulululu;6637509]Are the crocs a problem? I've seen a couple of properties with little creeks/rivers on them and I've thought, that looks nice but is a croc gonna come and eat my kids?

Mackay sucks! It's way too overpriced, the people (obviously not all but the vast majority) are so close minded, the town is lacking even the most basic necessary infrastructure and it well, pretty much a backward town. It used to be brilliant place to live but it's gone to **** in the last few years.

Noosa has a nice hospital, small though but you definitely won't be "the only gays in the village" here. I think the Sunshine Coast has a new hospital opening nexy year?

Wow I find it very rude to say the vat majority of over 85000 people are close minded.
Townsville is great though you have hospitals, military, university, police academy ect
