Default First period after giving birth

I had my dd by c section 4 months ago!! I have my first period but have had it for about 3 weeks now.
It was at first really light for about a week but is now a normal period!
I had the depo shot at 7 weeks pp.
My pp bleeding had stopped when I had it and my doctor was ok to give it to me without having my period yet!

So has anyone had a longer first period ? Or could it be the depo shot not agreeing with me ? I have had the shot before and never had a problem!

    Any ideas ??

Hey, I'd say I'm probably not much help but I just had my first period after my son (he's 10 weeks) it was longer than usual ..about 10 days (of heavy when usually it was about 3 days of heavy) so shorter than yours. It was much heavier than usual though and I noticed it was nauseous but no cramps which is strange because I used to get them so bad I would be sick and faint. I guess what I think is that having bub has completely changed my period.. 3 weeks is a long time though, if I were you I'd check with the doctor
Sorry if this isn't much help

I would check it out with your doctor just to be sure everything is ok.
