    Ohhh ok!!

Unfortunately the father knows it could only be him, and he wouldn't hurt a fly so those aren't my options.

He did say he didn't want to be on the birth certificate though, so I might just have to talk to him about it!

Peaze - my bubba is on the mend she just needs to put on some more much needed weight. We came home from hospital today

It is such a mine field out there, dealing with your own emotions at being a single parent and worrying how other parent will react about stuff. Then you have to throw the centrelink stuff in on top. I have to go in to centrelink in the next week and give them my 'story' about DD2 and hopefully it will all go smoothly. Vi still haven't heard back from births deaths and marriages - for them I had to fill in a stat dec.

Your Bubs will put on that weight in no time I'm sure

I actually spoke to the legal aid hotline today and to births, deaths and marriages and got some good start up info.

I'm booking an appointment with a legal aid lawyer next week and I also need to call centrelink to find out what the procedure is once my daughter is born.

All very annoying stuff, but stuff I have to do to protect my bubby!

I got exempted because there was a DVO in place. However, had that not been in place and I had told CL that I knew who the father was, they would indeed force me to claim childsupport.
BUT if you tell them that you do not know who the father is (yes it makes you look a bit like a sl^t, but you're protecting your child and I'm sure you're not the first one to go this way), they can not force you to claim child support from a person who you don't even know for sure is the father.

The only con is that IF you do decide later in life that you need the extra cash, you can not claim child support anymore.

Just think about this: If he doesn't want to go on the birth certificate, I would leave it at that unless you really really need the money. Otherwise it is more hassle than it is worth.
Men can get seriously nasty when they have to pay for something they do not want.

But the knife cuts both ways. If he suddenly decides he wants to be a daddy and wants to be put on the birth certificate and you say "No, because you're not the father", he can order a DNA test against you.
