Had a scan today. Empty sac, but it's in the uterus. So it doesn't appear to be ectopic, but it isnt ruled out yet.

Continue bloods and then another ultrasound in 2 weeks.

I do not believe its a viable pregnancy, but will keep monitoring it until I know for sure it's not ectopic.

Hoping I just miscarry naturally and won't need to discuss methotrexate or D&C's

I'm glad to read the sac is in the uterus and completely understand why you are being very cautious. I promise to keep all the faith for you .

    Take care of yourself.

Sac in the uterus could be a psuedosac (which I had with the ovarian ectopic) BUT its a good shape do far which leans more towards normal sac. I'm crossing my fingers.

I just checked against your results, and ur levels are above the median levels reported as u can see, there is such a HUGE range when it comes to hcg levels!
Thanks, I'd never heard of Betabase. I'm also waiting to find out if my pregnancy is viable. My HCG at 5wks+6 days since LMP was only 100.

I've had 2 consecutive miscarriages immediately before this pregnancy and also have 1 daughter already. With the last m/c my hcg was only 18 at the same stage so I thought this one was ok by comparison. The GP I was seeing left the practice last week and the one I saw today was very cautious. She wants me to wait til I'm 7 weeks to test again and see what that score is as she doesn't think anything will show up on an u/s yet

When should I expect to be able to get an u/s? I usually ovulate about a week late but didn't do the OPKs this month as we were having a month off from trying (ironic).

    Fingers crossed for everyone....

I've had an ultrasound as early as 5 and a half weeks, but it ended up freaking me out more than anything coz all they could see was a sac and nothing in it. By 6 weeks i saw a fetal pole with my last pregnancy, and managed to see a heartbeat with this current pregnancy. Both were internal/vaginal ultrasounds tho..

I understand why ur GP wants to wait till 7 weeks - just in case ur not as far along as u thought.. I know it's hard but if u can, try hold on? If not, and ur like me, an absolute anxiety freak, maybe u could convince ur GP to refer u to a vaginal u/s a little earlier..

Good like with it - sending positive sticky vibes ur way!!
