    Default Pain above left hip

Last night I woke up a few times with severe stabbing type pains on my left side, just above my hip. I had to get up and walk around and do a few stretches to reduce the pain..but then a couple hours later I would wake up again.

Any ideas what would be causing this and how I can reduce the severity/stop it? I am 21wk preg.

    Thanks

I have had the same thing since 30 weeks and it wakes me very night. My OB said it was common and would go after the baby was born. Not very helpful for now.
I find if I use my pregnancy pillow and have it running between my legs virtually from my crotch to my feet it seems to elevate my hips enough and reduces the pain.
