LilNightmare - This may be one of the few times you'll be glad to see AF. :P I hope that they stay regular for you.

Question : Why do some women wait three months after the pill before trying? I assume it is safe to start trying after your first real period if you wanted to?

Hey girls, Sorry we have been away in brissy, but I thought I would pop in and share my news! We decided to not wait til January and start TTC this month, I didnt worry about temping or anything this time, just checked my CM (sorry tmi). I tested a few times when I was in brisbane last week but kept getting BFns. so thought i was out. I got home thursday, my af was due the next day. I tested on the friday when af was due with a digital (ugh) and it was negative. I felt really crampy, but my cramps were weird, very like AF cramps but they would come and go. I put on a pad and was sure Id have something on it soon. (haha). Anyways, saturday came still no AF now a day late. I worked all day with a freakin pad on lol. Sunday comes, still no AF! Im thinking this is weird, but still crampy and feeling bloated, bad headcold. I worked all day with a pad on AGAIN lol. Then i finished work at 4:30pm.I work next door to woolies, so I went and grabbed some FRERs. I tested and waited. Two pink lines!!!! Off went that pad LOL. Am due 7 June, am so excited, and can seriously not believe we did it first go!!! (my 2nd i ttc for 18mths!)

I just want to pass on my baby dust to you all

-and for the lady posting above asking about the pill, that was my first month off the pill

Yay huge congrats to you boy crazy! How exciting! Our groups first bfp even though it's earlier than expected. I hope you have a fantastic pregnancy.

Nomie- that's the truth. Everyone hates af for years until getting off the pill and starting ttc.

Im pretty sure you can start trying as soon as you stop taking the pill. Most women just decide to wait until there first period comes to know they are ovulating. As for waiting 3 months, which I'm kinda in that boat, is just to know your fairly regular for when you do start to ttc and are able to pin point o. It's really up to the individual.

I think the main reason for people going off the pill early is that it can sometimes take a bit for the body to get back into the swing of cycles again. Obv for some people this is not the ccase - congrats on the BFP!

Congratulations BoyCrazy! That's such exciting news!!! I hope this is a sign for the rest of us!!

Tashee - can you believe that it's October!!! What has happened to this year. It will be 2013 before we know it!

I am so clucky at the moment it's quite overwhelming. I've been reading my book what to expect before your expecting and it's really insightful. I've also been trawling the web for things I want to buy (I've decided on my pram!! Bugaboo bee plus in yellow. I cannot wait to get it!!) I'm still not sure about cots!

Those of you who have kids already what do you look for in a cot? What makes a good cot or a bad cot? It's a real mystery!!

I think cots are much of a muchness. We had nothing special for our first cot - used it for both kids. Next cot I'm looking at one that will convert into a toddler bed because we want to use a sidecar cosleeping arrangement. So I think I'll also look at base heights as we'll want one close to the height of our bed.
