Default Seeking egg donor to assist us with making our dream of a child a reality

My husband and I met in 2006 after we both had failed long term relationships, he being 32 and I 36 at the time. After two years we started the process of trying for a family and after marrying in 2010 sought the assistance of a fertility specialist. The news was heart breaking as we were advised that we had little hope in conceiving so we sought a second opinion from a professor who specialised in fertility. The news although not great was more encouraging and we started several cycles of IVF/ICSI to no avail. On our final attempt we came to the realisation that we had to be realistic about my age and the affects this was having on the quality and number of eggs. As my husband and I have a fantastic relationship that is built on honesty, love and communication, we supported one another through the difficult time and in making a decision to see the counsellor at the clinic to discuss donors in Australia and how we commence the process... so here we are!

There is a bit of pressure for me to conceive as I have also been advised I should have a full hysterectomy when I turn 45 due to my family health history. This is just another blow for us, and we are desperately seeking a wonderful and compassionate woman who is under the age of 35 to assist us with making our dream a reality in having a child.

We have two dogs, Humphrey the pugalier and Rosie, well she is a bit of this and that and a rescue dog from the RSCPA, and two chickens Henny Penny and Dolly Bird (not for eating!!!). We own our home, we both are working professionals working in Engineering and Human Resources, and are surrounded by family and friends who are both supportive and have children of their own of different ages. We have two wonderful little nieces and a god daughter who we treasure, and would love to have an addition to our own family to make it whole.

We would love to hear from those who would be willing to assist us by initially replying to this post, and then we will arrange further discussions in private be it by email initially or by phone. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, Oh my word, you have had to contend with so much! I sincerely hope you find someone to help you! Just a thought, have you also posted your details on Pride Angel? They area connection site for donors and recepients so may also be worth you putting your profile on there?! the more people that know you are looking the better chance you have of finding the right person to help! Best wishes, hugs to you both xx

Hi there, thank you so much for your kind words, it has been difficult and as much as you try and smile your way through it so that others think all is ok, it sometimes reduces you to a very raw state where emotions run high. Thankfully we have come out the other side of this and have come to terms with the fact that we are not able to have a child without the assistance of a special person.

Melbourne is not far for us, we have a good friend who lives over there who we visit quite regularly. Thank you for the lovely message, it is appreciated and would gladly get to know you better too. I am Sandie by the way
