3 weeks after 8lb10oz boy who caused grazing and internal & external tears (which were stitched) and it was relatively comfortable. I was expecting a lot worse!

DD is 12wks and still nothing here. It's a combination of fear, lack of interest and the fact I go to bed earlier than dh. All my fault I admit. I do feel bad for dh but would feel worse if I just went through the motions

In my opinion you should wait til the 6 week mark because the cervix is not fully recovered/closed until then and it could be a potential route of infection (same reason as not to use tampons etc). But you could do "other stuff".

We tried for the first time before my 6 week checkup and I had a 3rd degree tear. It was a bit uncomfortable to start with but took is slowly and then it was fine!
