Default When did you resume sex?

Just wondering how long after birth you resumed sex?

I had a normal delivery with a 9lb 4 bub, no stiches, no complications... I'm still bleeding a little, like a light period... and apart from feeling a bit exhausted I feel pretty good...

However, it's only been 2 weeks - Is it too soon? I've read you're supposed to wait 6 weeks, but then I've also read it doesn't matter as long as you feel ok...?

After DD6, two days post birth (very gently).

However, a month later I had a nasty infection in the uterus. The doctor said it was just bad luck and not my fault at all ... but some women on this forum suggest otherwise.

I believe that once the bleeding stops it's fine since the cervix has closed fully.

I waited till 6 weeks with my first, it was an emergency cesarean and took a bit for me to feel up to it and with my second I recieved a 3rd degree tear and was scared of it hurting. We initially tried at about 5 weeks but it hurt.

It was 5months with my first, but that was due to exhaustion, no interest and general fear. Child birth turned out to be fantastic contraception. Second time around it was 6weeks exactly. I stopped bleeding about 5weeks and gave it an extra week just in case.

2 weeks after the birth of my first- although we tried within the first week. I had horrible tearing and stitches internally and eternally but I felt upto it do we tried.

It was a week after the birth of my second. This time only 1st degree tear no stitches and a bit of grazing.

Probably 8-9weeks. Not because of pain or anything...we were just scared of what it would be like. It didn't hurt, just a little on the bruised perinium

I'm too tired anyway, the only reason I even tried was cause I felt bad for DP!!
