Not exactly a saying or quote but my Grandmother calls her womb her "wound". So cute!

When people use "literally" incorrectly. Usually instead of "really", to add emphasis I guess.

"My heart is literally breaking watching this movie"
"I literally jumped out of my skin"

    Drives me mad!! Hahahaha.

My sister and three of her friends thought it was
"play it by year" instead of "play it by ear".
She was 25 when we argued that one out.

And 'yous' - this drives me crazy.

Oh and pacifically instead of specifically
While we are speaking mispronunciation - "free" instead of three drives me completely insane, my sister is a shocker for this!

Oh no reading through this thread I am guilty of some of these

When I was younger I thought our national anthem went 'our home is dirt by sea'... It makes practical sense OK... I went onstage at Universal Studios in the USA and performed our anthem with these words for a televised competition.. OOPS!!!

    Laughing at these!

My pet hate is when people say "he/she is sooooo HYPO!" for a child that is energetic etc

    NOOOOO, it's HYPER!

Misuse of the word 'literally' drives me crazy too.
Also the word 'reiterate' annoys me, you only need to say 'iterate' as iterate means repeat, reiterate is like saying re-repeat and is unnecessary. I could be wrong though?
