the .."another think coming" annoys me too.

The actual saying is..if you think that, then you have another think coming.

It makes no sense as thing!!!

Yes! One of my friends says this too and when I corrected her she was insistent that I was wrong. And so was the rest of the world.

    Better than "chester draws"!

"Hone in" should be "home in".

"A real trooper" should be "a real trouper".

"Baited breath" should be "bated breath".

"Wet your appetite" should be "whet your appetite".

"Literally" is often misused, with amusing results... "I literally died", "I was literally climbing the walls", "His head literally blew up". No dear, no.

And I know it's been said, but it's worth saying again. "Irregardless"? OMG.

ETA: One that really gets me is the Americanism "I could care less", instead of "I couldn't care less". Do they realise what they're saying?!

Little own - its let alone

My ex used to say 'regardlessly' grrr!!!

Once and a while - it's once IN a while.

As a pose to - instead of 'as opposed to'

People who say they did a complete 360 and have turned their lives around, ummm a 360 means you're headed in the same direction - to turn around you'd need to do b/w 90 and 180

"The smorning" instead of "this morning". Yep, I've seen several people write those exact words. I can't believe it, it drives me nuts

I used to say " hand of a claws" instead of round of applause I was younger than now !!!
English is DH second language and he always gets things wrong.
