I've tried the app thing on my iPhone but nothing is happening. When I quickly double tap the home button my favourites in my personal contacts opens up? What the .. ? My battery has zero life so I'm guessing this has something to do with it.

Before I started TTC (which was only last year) I thought you could fall pregnant anytime as long as you didn't have AF .. duh!

When I got my first car with fog lights I thought they only worked if there was fog ...

I come from the country and grew up on a property, so I'm always amazed at how many city people make basic mistakes for stuff we just .... knew .... growing up on a farm. For example, a friend of mine thought snakes couldn't swim, so she was safe in the dam, and another friend thought that the "underground chicken" stew my father had made, really was chicken (it's rabbit stew - and it tastes fine; she said so herself until she found out what it was).

The other one was when my ex MIL accidentally turned on her hazard lights on her car and drove all the way home (about 20 minutes) with them flashing on the highway. She had no idea how they came on, where they were from or what the hell they were for (she had always wondered how people got both their indicators going at the same time)

    Hahaha, that's funny!
My DH didn't know that Molly Meldrum was gay. And when I told him he swore he was married with kids! I said, why do you think they call him "Molly"? haha.

Mine is very bad... I cringe thinking about it... but I was only 17 at the time so...

I had DS young and had no idea that I had to birth the placenta as well. I just didn't know that that happens. You never see it or hear about it, no one told me about it. I just thought it all happened at the same time with the baby coming out. And then I was jabbed with a needle in the thigh minutes after he was born and I was like, wtf was that for? That's when they told me it was to bring on the placenta. Whaaa? I gotta push again?

I have a few I'm slightly ashamed to admit...

Firstly I thought Europe was a city - not a continent.

I thought pasta was grown ... On pasta trees OMG!!

I was getting quotes in getting my car fixed and was asked to lift my bonnet - had no idea how to - my sister thought this was hilarious!!
