Default A little bit of a vent

Just feeling like the odd one out lately and just wanted to tell someone. All the people I meet with babies and family members wont or cant breastfeed which is fine but dont go and say ohhhhhhh I would give her a bottle so you eat your dinner if you went bf. I dont care if I have to wait to eat, thats what a mircowave is for. I love bf and wouldnt change it for the world. So why do people feel the need to pity me because my baby needs me, sometimes I just want to tell them all to bugger off.

    Thanks for reading

I know exactly how you feel! I had friends who would say I'll provide the bottles so you can have a drink if you like...um no. Don't listen them, its great that you can bf and enjoy it!

I always found there was more pressure to bottlefeed than there is to breastfeed (and I have done both!) Breastfeeding is a difficult thing to establish and often is the cause of many sleepless nights. If you have made it through the early days you should be proud and enjoy it

My DH always used to say "just give him a bottle" if DS was upset or couldn't settle.
My mum (who didn't have enough supply but so would have loved to BF) used to constantly tell me that maybe my supply wasn't enough, maybe my milk wasn't good quality etc etc, it was later I realised when she looked at me feeding DS and said with a tear in her eye "I would have loved to have been able to BF", my mum was somewhat envious of me and really tried her best to support me but just went the wrong way about it.
