Hey third time here and I'm still nervous!!

Currently I'm struggling with sleep, bubs is awake and kicking like mad from 10pm every night -almost on cue - so I'm sleep deprived all the time and then running about with my older two. I actually look forward to the stay in hospital after birth for a rest lol!

Have to admit I have no idea at all how people are pregnant and look after kids, seeing what I have been going through and how Iv been feeling I have the highest respect for people with more than one kid!!!

I'll be honest, I had no idea how I would do it. The very idea of having 2 kids and being almost full term scared the hell out of me when I found out I was pregnant lol. But it appears being pregnant you develop this talent for cutting corners lol and manage to get things done and stuff that doesn't get done.. well doesn't get done.

I have had some constant pains for the last two hours, its been pretty painful. I'm hoping its some serious practice pains and it means the end is near!!

Had my hospital check up today and everything is as it should be Heartbeat is 150bpm and she had her little head down, not engaged, but she's settled in there and ready (hopefully) to rumble in the next few weeks!

For those of you who's babies are engaged, which week did that happen in?

I go back next week to see my OB and arrange for the Group B strep test. I was positive with my last pregnacy and had a drip with antibiotics during my labour. I was told that I will be sent home with a swab test to do myself. It's certainly changed from my last pregnancy, I had quite a few internals but that was over 10 years ago (yes, it's been a looong time between drinks for me!) and I guess they don't do that anymore? Should I expect to have any internal exams in the last few weeks? Or will that only happen when I actually go into labour?

Hope all you lovely ladies are feeling well today

Lol yeah I have noticed things Arnt getting done as much around the house lol
Hope the pains are good pains!!

Bubs head down but not engaged yet

Quick question because I'm litterally clueless with everything and have no one to really talk to my midwife is horrible and doesn't let me ask questions
Every now and then I get a pain like kinda sharp stabing pain feels almost like at the opening of my whoohaa I dunno what that is?

Where abouts more specifically will I feel pain when labour starts?

Sounds like the sharp pain down there could be baby scratching you.. they do this! Does it feel pinchy?
As for feeling actual contractions, mine started out as more of a dull pain as opposed to sharp. I could feel it in my lower back as well as abdomen. The pain came in waves, at first every 15 minutes and then progressed from there. It kind of felt like that ache you in your lower back with your period crossed with really bad constipation... for me, anyway

Hey ladies, I'm so glad to see done July mum chat! I was going to join the fb group but don't use fb very much. So, yay!

I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow!! So she could arrive any day. Though DS was born at 40+3, so I'm not really expecting her any time soon.

I've packed my hospital bag, and have nearly finished bubs. I washed the last of her stuff today! The last thing I need to get is a car seat. Lol.

At my appt last week everything was looking good, she has finally settled head down, and was sitting at 4/5 above the brim. So I'm doing lots of leaning and pelvic movements in the hope she will go down further! Lol.

I've only skim read the last few pages, but will go back and read it a bit better when I get some time!
    Hope your all well

Scratching? Ouch! Eeep!! In all honestly I think with everything we go through during pregnancy and labour I think that babies should be born at least with the ability to clean the floors or cook dinner lol I don't think I'm asking for much lol

Good luck starlite!! Hope everything go's smoothly!
What is the Facebook group? Haven't seen it can some one link me?

    Would be nice, huh?

Starlite I agree, very happy to see an active July group, I'm not a FB user either. Keep us posted on how the rest of your pregnancy and labour goes
