I absolutely HATE when people tell me either myself or any of my 4 children will catch a cold if we don't rug up. Germs aren't going to look at someone and see that they're wearing a jacket and say to themselves "oh we will stay away, they're wearing a jacket"!! Ds2 point blank refuses to wear long pants, ever, unless I physically force him and he gets sick the least in our family, and the one *ahem* (dp) that rugs up and tells me off for not rigging the kids up is sick the most! Germs not temperature cause cold & flu...

People who come in to work (pharmacy) and say 'I'm coming down with a cold so I need some cold and flu tablets to keep on top of it and stop it getting worse'. Um, they don't work like that. They control symptoms, not kill the virus.

Lol I work in pharmacy too . My dp still thinks this. Or when ppl say they have the flu when really its just a cold.

My DD has cold at the moment and what bugs me is when someone looks at my DD who currently has one hell of a snotty nose and critisizes me for her being sick. Im sorry but its not like i can see the germs before they get to her! I also agree that it annoys me when ppl say they have the flu when its just a cold.....i have had the flu before and its nothing like a cold, its about 100 times worse!

But up your vitamin C and you might just avoid getting a bad one

Just change it to 'come out of the cold, you'll get hypothermia'
