I also hate the cold is the flu. I had "the flu" last year and wanted to die!

Also hate taking anti-biotics when not necessary.

My MIL thinks that when you're sick, if you put an onion on your bedside table it will absorbe the germs and stop the other person in the room getting sick...

So when I had a cold last weekend she said to me "make sure you put an onion in the room so DP doesn't get sick"

Totally agree with the flu versus cold thing, I've had the flu and it was one of the worst illnesses I've had. I also have the same issue with migraine versus headache. I've only had 3 migrains and I thought I was going to die. Sorry a little off topic but it really bugs me when people say they have a migrain but are watching tv.

I'm fairly sure there's influenza type A and type B, one being worse than the other?

Hahaha that sounds like my mil. She always gets angry at me that dh or dd can't use Vicks on their chests if they are sick as I'm allergic like I've made it up just to keep dh and dd sick

Then again, i get chronic migraines, and I can still function with the initial 70-80% of one.
So that's not actually something where you can tell a person they've "just got a headache". Everyone copes differently
