Default What life issues would make you give up your kids?

And what would you do to get them
    back into the family home?

Honestly I can't think of anything other than death. I just can't see any situation that would warrant giving up my daughter.

Death, or severe disability where I can't even look after myself let alone anyone else.

If somehow them being around me made them unsafe. I'd then do whatever it took to fix the situation.

This, although DH would then be their primary carer if I were disabled so I'd still be around to parent emotionally just not physically. If DH wasn't around my parents have said before they would take us all in.

If I knew my children could have a better life with someone else, I would do it. If I was not in the right mental space, if I was an alcoholic or drug addict, if I was dying.

In saying that, I don't think anyone would raise my kids the way I want. It would be a tough decision. Some children *are* better off with someone else. It takes a big person to admit it to themselves.

My 2 sisters lived with my dad as their alcoholic mother thought it would be better for them. My husband lived with his aunt and grandmother for years because his mum was an alcoholic at the time.

Nothing as I know my DF would be there for them if something were to happen to me. If it was death I don't consider that giving them up, it would be me leaving unwillingly.

My kids are my life, and no matter how hard it gets at times I would never change a thing or not be there for them.
