Labour bag: snakes, massager/tennis balls, heat pack, ipod (none ended up being used except for the snakes which I snacked on).

Hospital bag: singlets, pj pants, hoodie/cardie, socks, going home clothes, hairdryer (for stitches), pads (but I've heard that newborn nappies are also great), cheap mens undies, wipes (instead of toilet paper), pen, paper, phone charger, ipod.

I have heard of depends before but always thought they were just a different type of absorbency to a pad & looked identical to a pad. Or are they like a whole pair of disposable undies?

Might have to add this to my list to include too :-)

Spare change for vending machines etc, just in case you feel the need! I was starving in hospital!
