Dear loveheart- my bubs were 2.85 and 3.1kg and wore 0000- but not for long- DS2 was 5.5 kg by his 8 week check up. For leaving hospital, a 0000 bonds baby suit could be a good choice. At hospital, yes, they will provide clothing (smocks- they are gorgeous), but after bath on about day 3 I started popping on our own bubby clothes- bonds baby suits all the way for us! All the best for you in the coming weeks with the arrival of you bub

my DS was born at 35 weeks, 2.9kg and 50cm long. he wore 00000s for the first couple of weeks. It sounds like you should stock up on 0000s and 000s. They grow so fast

My DD was 4.49kg and wore 0000 except for Bonds, which she wore 000. Within about 2 weeks she was in 000 so definitely don't buy much 0000! Another thing to consider was that she was really long when she was born. We packed some all-in-one suits, with the feet - but she was too long for them! We had to chop the feet off and she wore them as capris!!

My DD is almost 5 weeks and still in 0000. She was 8 pounds 2. Just be aware that bonds have smaller sizing than other brands as she is almost out of her wonder suits but comfortably fits other things.

ds was 3.95kg and lost 5 - 10% of his birth weight (can't remember which) and was in 0000 for a few weeks - everyone had said "you are tall and you have gestational diabetes, don't bother with size 0000 he won't fit them" - WRONG! He swam in 000's and looked silly and you want your newborn to look cute, so make sure you have at least a few 0000's.

My dd was 4.36kg at birth and lost less than 5% of her birth weight initially and she wasn't in 0000's for very long. I think she was in 000's by about day 8 - 10 and some 000's fit her at birth.

The important point to make though is that my dd was out of 000's by 6 - 8 weeks and my ds by 8 weeks ... yep, they grew fast. So, don't overdo 000's and assume you'll get 3 months out of them, you might not!

Dd was 7'8 or 3.56kg and 52cm long. She was in 5 0's for a few weeks and then 4 0's for a few months. If I was to have another child I would get a couple of 5 0's just incase but majority 4 0's.

    Dd1 was 7 pound 7 ounces (3.51kg) and was in 4 0's for about 2 weeks then went to 3 0's,

Dd2 was 6 pound 3 ounces (2.9kg) and was 5 0's until about 2 months old, then went to 4 0', until about 8 months old. Now at 2 she is only just hitting size 1.
