Default What size clothes did bubs first wear?

I am due in 6 weeks and bubs is already measuring 2 weeks ahead. I am not sure what size clothes to pack for bubs. Both hubby and I come from tall families, so not expecting a small bub unless I go early.

If you could please answer the below questions, regardless of whether you had a small/big baby. Thank you

    - What size clothes did your baby wear in their first few days?
    - What was the birth weight of your baby?

DS was a large baby, 9'12 or 4.45kg and 51cm long. Always measured ahead and then didn't arrive until 10 days after I was due.

He wore 000 in Bonds suits but did have a couple of gorgeous Purebaby suits in 0000 which he managed to fit into. So I'd buy mostly 000 if I were you, but wouldn't hurt to have just a couple in 0000.

The first was 3.3kg and the second 3.6kg and they both started in 0000. The clothes in that size were a little loose and bub looses about 300grams before starting to gain weight then they grow out of them in a couple of months. They were both average height and weight.

DD wore 0000's and was perfectly average at 3.5kgs and 50cm long. She was 8 days late as well.

I only bought 000 and up. Both kids would have fit in a smaller size but only for a few weeks so there wasn't really any point in buying any.

They were 3.41kgs and 3.74kgs when born.

My first was small and wore 5xo for at least a month. My second was spot on average and wore 4xo for the first couple of weeks. I just used cheap baby nighties and they were mostly wrapped so the size isn't that big a deal if they are too big.
