I'm day 28, usually have a 34 day cycle. Had a temp peak on day 9. Have had spotting this arvo. Really hope it isn't AF coming on day 28 for the first time in a year.

It is the bhCG which is thought to be responsible for morning sickness, but in most women, the level of bhCG is not high enough until about 6 weeks to cause nausea. Therefore, nausea in the 2WW period is an unreliable sign. Most other early pregnancy symptoms are due to the rising levels of progesterone (tender breasts, etc) which is in response to the production of bhCG (bhCG stimulates the corpus luteum to secrete progesterone); again, the blood levels of progesterone generally are not high enough until 6 weeks to cause these symptoms. Obviously there is some variation amongst women, but that's just the boring science behind it.
So, what I am trying to say is that symptoms are not a reliable sign of early pregnancy. Some are coincidental, others over-interpreted (and we are all guilty of that!!). In actual fact, the best indicator you might be pregnant in the 2WW is no symptoms at all! By that I mean the absence of PMS-type symptoms.
Is any of this helpful? Sorry for the long reply; it's the doctor in me...I need to beat it out of myself!
    Best wishes sweetie. J37.
Thanks J37. I don't normally get any AF symptoms or cramps just a light 3 day bleed. The 2ww is a killer but would be better without this nausea! Bring on the ginger! Haha
Not too bothered about bfp this month cause my daughter and partner are born in April so can do without another April birthday but definately August would be good!

Saw my gp today. Confirmed I have had an early miscarriage.
I have a short luteal phase so I went and bought vitex today. It was thanks to vitex that DS came along so I'm hoping it works again. I should have just started it when we first started ttc again.

    So sorry about your miscarriage.

What is a normal luteal phase, and what is considered to be short?

Less than 10 days is considered too short, not leaving enough time for the egg to implant, some doctors think less than 12 is too short. My luteal phase is 10 days.
When ttc my son it was 10 days and I had 3 early miscarriages. When I started vitex it increased to 12 days and along came DS. So fx it works again.

O day for me today. This month I'm hoping for no symptoms cos they usually mean AF is on her way. AF is due on 30/7, fx she doesn't arrive
