Hey mate! Welcome to the hub! Not many of us fellas around but the ladies here are all kinds of awesome as well!
So, who do I sue in relation to the term "Hump Day" being blatant false advertising?

    Hi Welcome to the forum.
Playgroups are great and you don't just have to join the dads playgroups.
Our playgroups have a mix of grannys, poppys, mums and dads

Other ideas to mix and mingle in the community.
    Join a family camping club
Join the YMCA single parents/healthy kids club, they go on holidays, outings and do physical fun activitys as a group.
Local library's have story time every week.
Ask your local maternal health nurse, they often know of support groups for parents.
Start up your own 'Dads and kids club' in your area. You could organise events, games, sports matches with the kids in tow and then have social outings with the just the Dads if you can find a babysitter.

How old are your little ones ?

    Hi!

I have a girl, 7, and twin boys, 5. I found that they seem to like most of the activities I like, and we can be seen around nature parks armed with digital cameras, taking pictures of kangaroos, birds, trees, interesting rocks, etc, etc. I am divorced and get them for a short period a fortnight - one weekend, but we cram as much living into the time as we can.

I am also teaching them how to dry up the dishes, my daughter helps me cook, she and the boys help me make gingerbread persons, I have got a routine with them that they look forward to when they are with me. We do kid stuff, they are now into soccer, so I spend time playing soccer with them.

I was a YMCA leader when I was younger, so the training I did at the Y has given me plenty of activities to pass on to my kids. The YMCA is a great outlet for creativity both in kids and adults, check to see if there is one close by.

It is tough to be a single parent, I look after them for 3 nights and they wear me out. Good job my ex has a partner to help her.
