Default Seeking LC/specialist in Bris who can diagnose if my baby has a posterior tongue tie?

My 10wk old is still struggling with breastfeeding. Ive seen two differrent LC's, one I see on a weekly basis for help. Both have checked her mouth and said she doesnt have a tongue tie, but im not 100% certain.

With all the breastfeeding difficulties we have been having, and the information on the net we seem to have all the symptoms. At the very least, I feel that I at least need to rule out the possibility, with someone who knows what a posterior tongue tie looks like (they are less obvious and harder to diagnose than your normal tongue tie).

Does anyone know of a consultant/pead/doctor in Brisbane area, who is able to correctly diagnose pesterior tongue ties?

    Thanks

Didn't want to read and not reply. I can't help, sorry. But, both my dds had tongue tie, at the front, not posterior, and the time from birth to getting their tongues cut was an agonizing, painful nightmare. So bug hugs to you.

Also, we found a gp who is qualified to diagnose and release tongue tie. I suggest calling your mchn and asking them if they know of any gps or peads who do it. The peads will probably have a waiting list, gp will probably see you same day.

    Hth.

We had our son's tongue tie separated about 9 weeks ago. It was not posterior as far as I know. We had it done at Dr Russell on Kessels Rd, Macgregor. His practice is known for circumcision so don't be turned off. Also there is a paed at North West Private Hospital named Dr Steinberg who you can also see.
