I'm a few days before Xmas and one of my besties is Xmas day. I can assure you neither of us hold it against our parents! That is laughable.

The 2 presents thing used to upset me a LOT when I was little but by the time I was a teenager I liked being able to ask for something a bit bigger as a joint present if it was an option.

I never celebrated my birthday (other than family) because after a couple of years of only having 1 or 2 kids able to come, it got too bothersome. But it can always be celebrated early, I just never liked doing that (much to my mother's dismay!).

Congrats, I'm also due on Christmas Day and just wanting a healthy baby. I really like that I'm due christmas, what a awsome present, hopefully the best christmas ever. My birthday is the 23rd of December and yeah not that bad. Always have heaps of family around, everyones on holidays, no school, just don't do joint presents.

My partner was born a few days before christmas, its never been too much of an issue. As we've gotten older and friends have started their families like us I suppose its harder to organise things for it.

Bub number 2 is due new years day! I am hoping to be a few days late so it is a little separate from christmas/new years. I wouldn't listen to anyone who says anything negative about the date, sure they may not like having their birthday then but they certainly won't blame you! But then again they might like having it around christmas.

My DD was born Christmas week- I actually took her home Christmas Day. She's 2 now and this year I'm planning to make a huge deal for her 3rd birthday. She missed her 1st birthday because she had a vomiting bug (the party still happened!) and her 2nd was really low key because we had a newborn.
If people make negative comments, just tell them you're getting the best Christmas present ever and you don't know if you'll ever get another present that tops it for the rest of your life!

My son was born on December 22nd.. it never once crossed my mind that having a Christmas baby would be a negative thing; actually, it was quite the opposite- the whole festive vibe just added to the magic and I came home with my little bundle on Christmas eve, had Christmas lunch at my house with the family and seeing in the year 2000 with my new baby was amazing.
He loves having his birthday close to Christmas. We never combine them, I always make sure he has a seperate birthday with seperate presents, just like everyone else born any other time of the year.
At the hospital, everything was decorated and the Christmas spirit was lovely.
I see absolutely no problem at all with having a December baby. Who cares? To me it's just another thing to celebrate and I love it. I've always put on a birthday party for him and have found that parents were often grateful to drop their kids off at wherever I was having his party and get on with Christmas shopping or whatever in peace for a couple of hours

    I love my festive bub!

My waters broke on Christmas Day.... My son was born on Boxing Day haha

I have to say I went through the same as you and I used to get angry until I realised the following-

His bday will always be on a public holiday

I will never have to work on his bday

He will never have to work on his bday (besides being a teenager lol)

    It's always school holidays

All his family will be around as it's the festive season

It's a general fun day of yummy food, resting, playing, doing whatever

Doesn't worry me at all (though I haven't been through one yet as he is only 5 months old haha) so maybe ask me after the Christmas rush

DD1 was due 24th of December. I had people say that to me they also said "oh, that poor child". DD1 was born 23rd. And she honestly loves having her bday so close to xmas it's a big week of celebrations and presents. Spending xmas with a new born baby was better then spending xmas with my family anyway. Plus we got a visit from Santa. DD1 gets so excited hearing that Santa visited her when she was a baby in hospital lol.

    Ignore them people.
